1. What website stewardship means

The word we chose is deliberate. A landlord rents you space and hands you the keys. A steward keeps what has been entrusted to them, and answers for it. That difference is the whole service.

1.1 What that looks like day to day

You should not have to think about your website’s plumbing. While you run your business, we are quietly doing the work that keeps the site healthy:

• Keeping it current. Software and plugin updates are applied and checked, so nothing drifts out of date.
• Guarding it. The site is monitored around the clock and backed up daily, so one bad night cannot undo years of work.
• Improving it. Speed and search visibility are measured and tuned, not left to chance.
• Telling you plainly. You get a report in plain English — what we kept, what we guarded, what we improved.

1.2 You still own everything

Your website, your domain, your content, and your data remain yours. Stewardship is a service, not a claim on what you built. If you ever leave, you leave with everything.

1.3 You work with a person, not a queue

Every site we keep has one steward — a name you know, based here in the Rogue Valley. When you get in touch, you are not filing a ticket into a void; you are reaching a neighbour who already knows your site.
